22 Annual Sowbug Round Up

The 22 Annual Sowbug Round Up will be held in Mountain Home, Arkansas on March 28th, 29th, and 30th. The Sowbug is basically a fly tying show. There will be over 100 tiers. Last year there were over 1000 attendees.

Building a Bamboo Fly Rod

In 2016, David Weingold and I drove to Winnsboro, Louisiana to attend Harry Boyd’s 2 1/2 day rod making class. In 2 1//2 days you make a bamboo rod blank from scratch and leave with the finished blank with ferrules attached ready to complete at home.

Welcome to BugCrafters.com. Previously, I had the Web Site on one server and the Blog on another. But recently the Blog accounts and domaine were cancelled (my automatic renewal expired). Well, I have redesigned the Site to hold Static and Blog pages. Think I have everything working. All the old pages are back as well as the Beginner Flies and Methods use to tie them. I have checked all the links and they seem to be working. If you find a broken link, please let me know and I will fix it. The Blog is on its own page.
